Tending: Accompaniment at the Gates of Griefย
ย
Many of us are living inside lives that ask us to keep functioning, keep producing, keep moving while carrying enormous sorrow quietly and alone.
Tending is an invitation to stop carrying it alone.
Over seven live virtual sessions, Hilary Kinavey and Carmen Cool will create a space where grief can be present without being performed, fixed, or rushed. A space rooted in witness, ritual, reflection, and the kind of community that grief has always needed.
This series is for people carrying:
-
Grief after loss โ of people, relationships, health, identity, possibility
-
Grief connected to the body and its changes
-
Grief for what never happened, or what cannot be returned to
-
Collective grief for the world
-
Grief that doesn't have a name yet
What we'll do together:
-
Guided grief practices and ritual
-
Somatic and reflective exercises
-
Large and small group conversation
-
Poetry, music, and contemplative practice
-
Optional sharing and witness
-
Rest from the pressure to perform or produce
What Tending is not: Tending is not a clinical treatment program or a promise that grief will be resolved. It is a facilitated community space rooted in the belief that grief deserves witness and that something shifts when we stop carrying it entirely alone.

7 live virtual sessions with Hilary & Carmen

Session recordings (note: the grief vigil session is not recorded)
